The benefits of the brushes of Mermaid Marine Service
All of our brushes for hull cleaning are made of nylon materials that can be reused many times and the customers can attach new hair on the brushes.
The nylon brushes are fitted with different hair types; this hair is tilted at an angle that allows the proper suction capacity and pressure at the paint of the vessel. This prevent that the polished hair spikes will not damage even soft paint.

Type A
This brush is fitted with hair of polypropylene and is available in 1.5 to 2.2 and 2.8 mm hair thickness.

The hull cleaning machine Smutti for hard work with two knife brushes can clean up to 150 mm. fouling. Smutti for hard work is mainly used for cleaning ships that have been ducked for a long time or offshore installations, which need to be ashore for service or repairs as their fouling can be very sturdy and will pollute the marine environment in the harbour.
Our machines and brushes are also suitable for cleaning concrete on docks, piers and other constructions associated with inspections and sampling of drill samples.
This Type E brush is for very strong fouling of barnacles and shells up to 150 mm.
Wires brushes as Type B1 and B2 is designed as an all around brush for a medium fouling.
Type A is used for light fouling, silicone and acrylic antifouling paint and other paint types that cannot take a heavy touch.
